Making great food for over 30 years
The Manchester Diner is a modern, family owned diner brought to fruition by Taki Politis. With over 30 years experience in the restaurant business, Taki has created an uncommon formula that brings quality to comfort food. While quality food has always been a priority, the diner is built around the Greek core value of “filoxenia” or hospitality. It is this generosity of spirit that has allowed Taki to continue to serve great food and cater to a diverse customer base throughout the years.
The Manchester Diner pays tribute to the classic, pre-war building located at the corner of 108th Street and Broadway. The Manchester building has been a historical landmark in Morningside Heights dating back to 1910. Over the past century, the building has housed renowned artists such as jazz legend Hank Jones and author Flannery O’ Connor.
